Cornwall School Trips
Bespoke School Trips to
Cornwall
A Cornwall school trip gives your secondary group big landscapes, world-class visits, and a proper change of scene without leaving the UK.
Cornwall packs a lot into a few days. The Eden Project alone is worth the journey, with its huge biomes and education sessions that work for biology, geography, sustainability and design technology. Beyond Eden, your group can climb to St Michael's Mount, take in modern art at the Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum, meet rescued seals at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary, and finish with a day at Newquay Zoo on the way home.
Because the trip is bespoke, it works as enrichment, a cross-curricular tour, or with a single subject focus. We shape it around your year group, the dates that suit your school calendar, and what your budget will stretch to.
Trusted by teachers across the UK since 1994. Your tour is ABTA bonded. Your students travel through TourTrust audited suppliers. Risk assessments are made simple, with all the supplier information, audits and safety detail handed to you in one pack. SLT questions answered before they reach your inbox.
Suggested Itinerary
A typical secondary school trip to Cornwall itinerary. Yours will be shaped around your year group, subjects, dates and budget.
Travel and the Eden Project
Depart and the Eden Project.
You will depart school by coach in the morning, bringing a packed lunch for the journey, and spend the afternoon at the Eden Project, exploring the Rainforest and Mediterranean biomes with a workshop chosen to suit your group on topics such as climate change, sustainability or biomes. You will then continue to your accommodation to check in for an evening meal. There is no further use of the coach after dinner due to driver's hours, so we recommend an evening activity such as a quiz.
Seals and St Ives
The Cornish Seal Sanctuary.
After breakfast you will travel by coach to the Cornish Seal Sanctuary to learn about marine wildlife rescue and conservation, then continue to St Ives, stopping for lunch to eat on the harbour beach.
Tate St Ives, Hepworth and bowling.
You will split into sub-groups for the afternoon, visiting Tate St Ives for modern art shaped by the Cornish coastline, and the Barbara Hepworth Museum to see the sculptor's former home, studio and garden. You will return for an evening meal followed by bowling at Country Skittles.
St Michael's Mount
The Mount and Penzance.
After breakfast you will transfer to St Michael's Mount, walking across the causeway with the ferry boat included if the tide is in. You will explore the medieval castle and gardens with their dramatic coastal views, with the gardens closed on Sundays. You will stop for lunch at Marazion beach or on the causeway, with free time in Penzance to explore the independent shops, before returning for an evening meal.
Newquay Zoo and home
Newquay Zoo and the journey home.
After breakfast and check out you will travel home via Newquay Zoo, home to over 100 animal species, with conservation work and education sessions on biodiversity, before your return coach journey to school.
Every Cornwall school trip we run is shaped around the group going on it. Tell us your year group, dates and budget, and we will come back with a proposal you can take to SLT.
