Travel and a city tour

Arrive in Munich and explore.

You will fly to Munich and transfer to your accommodation to check in. You will then take a guided walking tour of the city to get your bearings, taking in Marienplatz and the old town, before an evening meal, with the option of a traditional Bavarian meal at the Hofbrauhaus.

Day 2

Science and engineering

The BMW Museum and the Deutsches Museum.

After breakfast you will visit the BMW Museum to explore the history and engineering behind one of Germany's most famous brands. In the afternoon you will visit the Deutsches Museum, one of the world's largest science and technology museums, with hands-on exhibits across engineering, physics and transport, before returning to your accommodation for an evening meal.

Day 3

History and sport

Dachau Concentration Camp.

After breakfast you will travel by coach to Dachau Concentration Camp, the first concentration camp established by the Nazis, where students learn about this period of history at the memorial site.

The Allianz Arena.

In the afternoon you will take a tour of the Allianz Arena, the striking home of Bayern Munich and a venue for the 2006 Football World Cup, before returning to your accommodation for an evening meal.

Day 4

The journey home

Free time and home.

Subject to your flight times, you may have free time in Munich, or the option of a full-day excursion to Neuschwanstein Castle in the Bavarian Alps, before travelling back to the airport for your flight to the UK.
