Granada School Trips

Travel and the coast

Fly to Malaga and on to Granada.

You will fly from the UK to Malaga, where your coach will meet you for the transfer to Granada. On the way you can stop for a relaxing break at Nerja, with the option of a short walk to the Balcon de Europa for views over the Mediterranean. You will then arrive in Granada to check in and enjoy a two-course evening meal at your accommodation or a local restaurant.

Day 2

The Alhambra

A walking tour and the Alhambra.

After breakfast you will meet your local guide for a three-hour walking tour of Granada, taking in key cultural sites including the cathedral and Royal Chapel, the Albaicin old quarter and the Moorish architecture around Plaza Nueva. Lunch is at your own arrangement, picked up locally to enjoy at the Carmen de los Martires Gardens near the Alhambra. You will then take a guided tour of the Alhambra Palace and Generalife Gardens.

Flamenco and dinner.

In the evening you will enjoy a traditional Spanish flamenco show with a two-course dinner of local Andalusian cuisine.

Day 3

Sacromonte and tapas

Sacromonte Abbey.

After breakfast you will meet your full-day guide and travel by coach to Sacromonte Abbey for a guided tour of its holy caves and catacombs, with a chance to pick up lunch locally to enjoy at a picnic spot.

Mercado San Agustin and a tapas tour.

Back in the heart of Granada you will take a guided tour of the Mercado San Agustin, followed by a guided tapas walking tour with tastings for an authentic Spanish experience, before making your own way back to your accommodation.

Day 4

Free time and home

Explore Granada and travel home.

After breakfast, and if time allows before your transfer, you can enjoy some free time in Granada. You might stroll through the Albaicin quarter, take in views of the Alhambra from the Mirador de San Nicolas, or browse the traditional stalls of the Alcaiceria market near the cathedral. You will then transfer by coach to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
