The Alhambra and Generalife is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and are considered to be one of the popular monuments in all of Spain.
This imposing yet beautiful complex, believed to have built around the 10th century, has seen many uses over the years. Initially it was used as a military fortress before becoming a residence for royalty, being home to a number of monarchs over its long history.
The tour takes pupils through intricately decorated halls, tranquil courtyards, and the stunning Generalife gardens, once the leisure retreat of the Nasrid rulers.
