The Alhambra and Generalife are considered to be one of the popular monuments in all of Spain. This imposing yet beautiful complex, believed to have built around the 10th century, has seen many uses over the years. Initially it was used as a military fortress before becoming a residence for royalty, being home to a number of monarchs over its long history. Today the wonderful gardens, exquisite architecture and stunning artwork on display make it a popular destination for study groups and tourists alike.
