Bespoke School Trips to

Florence

Home to the worlds widest and most preserved collection of Renaissance art, and containing a quarter of the world’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Florence is the perfect destination to educate and inspire artistic students.

The city rose to economic and cultural pre-eminence under the Medici House in the 15th and 16th century. The Medici family greatly influenced the growth of the Italian Renaissance through their patronage of the arts and humanism, sponsoring philosophers and artists such as Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo. The last of the House of Medici was able to leave the family’s intense collection of art treasures to Tuscany, on the condition that it never leaves Florence. On your next school trip, visit the unmissable Uffizi and Pitti galleries which today are a testament to the value of that legacy.Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance era, boasts astonishing art galleries and museums which contain breath-taking and often famous masterpieces. Your students can discover the remarkable work from Botticelli, Giotto, Michelangelo, da Vinci, Brunelleschi and many more, whilst exploring some of the finest examples of Renaissance, Medieval, Gothic and Romanesque architecture which surrounds the beautiful rich cultured city.
