Founded in 1255, this Gothic Palazzo is Florences premier sculpture museum with works by Michelangelo, the della Robbias, and Donatello. The Bargello's old armory holds one of Michelangelo's earliest sculptures, the Bacchus sculpted in 1497 at the age of 22 years old, inspired by the classical antiques whilst visiting Rome.
