Let Adaptable Travel tailor-make your perfect school trip to New York. Below is a suggested itinerary for a 6-day Art & Design school trip to New York.

Your group will depart from your institution and fly to New York. Upon arriving in New York, you will transfer to your hotel and check-in. Depending on your arrival time your group may have some free time to explore some of Manhattan’s iconic sights for the first time. Adaptable Travel can arrange a variety of evening meals and activities for your group to enjoy, simply enquire with our team.

Fly from UK to New York. Meet and Greet guide at the airport.
Coach transfer to accommodation.
Check into accommodation.

Make your way around New York on foot and by public transport, purchase ticket locally, if required.

Free time in Times Square. Explore the dazzling lights, giant billboards, and flagship stores in NYC’s most iconic square, a lively introduction to the city.
Restaurant Evening Meal (2 Courses).

After a much-needed rest and a good hearty breakfast, your group will visit the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) where your students can take in one of the most iconic collections in the world. After breaking for some lynch your group will head over to New York’s iconic Broadway, for an inspirational and interactive workshop! After this fantastic workshop, your group will head to the Empire State Building or the Rockerfeller Center where you can marvel at incredible views over the city and watch the night draw in. You will finish off this jam-packed day with an evening meal as a group.

American Breakfast (at hotel or a local diner). Make your way around New York on foot and by public transport, purchase ticket locally, if required.
Make your way to Whitney Museum of American Art and explore 20th and 21st century American art in the Meatpacking District.
Lunch (not included -own arrangements). You can buy takeaway sandwiches at outlets such as Pret a Manger (Battery Park) or Leo's Bagels. Enjoy your lunch in Battery Park with views of the harbour and Statue of Liberty.
Next visit the Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island Cruise. Take the Ferry to Liberty Island to view Lady Liberty up close, followed by a visit to Ellis Island’s Immigration Museum.
Following this, head to One World Observatory, take the high-speed elevator to the 102nd floor for sweeping views over New York and beyond.
Restaurant Evening Meal (2 Courses). Dinner at a nearby group-friendly restaurant
After dinner enjoy a Broadway Show (student-friendly production) or attend a Sports fixture (e.g., NBA, NHL, MLB depending on season and subject to availability. Sports fixture may have to be an afternoon depending on schedules).

Breakfast will be served in your accommodation before your group embarks on a visit to the Parsons New School for Design. After this, your group will enjoy a spot of al fresco lunch in Central Park, where your students can explore this vast green space in the heart of the concrete jungle. In the evening you will enjoy a group meal shortly followed by a New York must-do, a Broadway Performance!

American Breakfast (at hotel or a local diner). Make your way around New York on foot and by public transport, purchase ticket locally, if required.
First visit the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), home to Van Gogh, Picasso, Warhol, and more.
Head to Central Park for lunch (not included, own arrangements). You could pick up lunch at Whole Foods Columbus Circle or a local deli. Enjoy your lunch at Sheep Meadow or near Bethesda Fountain in Central Park.
Next you can visit The Met (Metropolitan Museum of Art) and explore one of the world’s greatest art collections.
Restaurant Evening Meal (2 Courses). Dinner at a nearby group-friendly restaurant.

Following breakfast, your group will take the ferry to visit Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, an icon of the city, and an excellent photo opportunity to capture some school trip memories! In the afternoon your group will break for a spot of lunch before heading to the Museum of Arts and Design for some afternoon inspiration. In the evening, enjoy a meal together as a group.

American Breakfast (at hotel or a local diner).
Check out of accommodation (hotel can assist with luggage storage). Make your way around New York on foot and by public transport, purchase ticket locally.
Visit the Empire State Building, one of the most famous skyscrapers in the world. Head to the 86th floor for panoramic views of Manhattan.
Lunch (not included, own arrangement), eat at options such as Zucker’s Bagels, Chick-fil- A, or UrbanSpace food hall.
Meet your coach back at your hotel, load luggage and transfer to the airport.
Overnight flight back to the UK.

Your group will enjoy one final breakfast before checking out of your hotel. Once you have checked out your group will transfer to your final visit at the moving 9/11 Memorial and Museum. Depending on your flight time you may have some free time to explore before you return to the airport and fly back to the UK.
