Prague & Krakow History

Prices from: £399

Prague and Krakow make the perfect companions for your students to explore history on their next study trip.  This is a two centre study trip.

Combining Prague with Krakow makes perfect sense considering not only their geographical proximity, but also the history of Krakow which mirrors and contradicts that of Prague.  Krakow, which was fortunately spared destruction during World War II, now houses more artworks and historic buildings than any other Polish city. On a trip to the medieval city, Krakow, your students can learn all about the atrocities committed by the Nazis in nearby concentration camps. Krakow is blessed with many historical landmarks and monuments which symbolise Europe’s turbulent past.

Prague is blessed with a beautiful facade that evokes majesty, yet delve a little deeper and your students will quickly unearth a fascinating and at times, dark history linked to the Roman Empire, World War I & II and the Velvet Revolution.  Your students will be able to explore these sites to see how they helped to shape Prague

Your students can have an unforgettable experience on this history tour and visit some amazing landmarks. Some visits include the Terezin Concentration Camp, a Walking Tour Of Kazimierz and the Schindlers Factory Museums.

I led a group of 25 students and two staff from Bangor University from 7th-11th April 2019 to Krakow. It was a very successful trip. All the students were positive about the experience. We were impressed with our guides. They were highly educated either doing a relevant master's course or PhD. We were very lucky with warm and sunny weather.

Tour guide was useless and wan't interacting with students at all. She just carried on talking even if no one was there to listen. Accommodation was clean and friendly but next to a railway and we could hear trains rushing trough all day all night. We paid for services that never been booked or organised so missed out on a lot. We ad to wait for 2 hours for our coach upon arrival to Gatwick. Adaptable refused to take any responsibilities. I would never travel with them again.

The hotel was great with friendly and helpful staff. Helped us with food and directions. One incident that was not positive was when the receptionist from the hotel kindly called the transport company for us on our return to the airport and she was spoken to very rudely and abruptly.

The tour guide for Auschwitz was very good. The A Level History students greatly benefitted from a guide with expert knowledge.

The guide for the walking tour was too detailed and often stopped at every site which was not necessary. She did have great level of knowledge but it was not all necessary for the tour. The guide for the walking tour was very helpful in guiding us to the use of public transport.
