Travel and the zoo

Edinburgh Zoo and Camera Obscura.

You will depart school by coach, with students advised to bring a packed lunch for the journey. On arrival you will visit Edinburgh Zoo, one of Scotland's most popular attractions, home to over 1,000 rare and endangered animals including the UK's only giant pandas. After a two-course evening meal at your accommodation you will visit the Camera Obscura and World of Illusions to explore five floors of interactive exhibits and panoramic rooftop views with a fascinating optical twist, before returning to your accommodation.

Museums and the castle

The National Museum of Scotland.

After breakfast you will pick up your packed lunch, with use of your coach for all visits today as required. In the morning you will visit the National Museum of Scotland to discover Scotland's history, science, nature and world cultures in this engaging modern museum. There is free time for lunch, with The Meadows park a fine spot to eat in good weather.

Edinburgh Castle and bowling.

In the afternoon you will visit Edinburgh Castle to explore the iconic fortress and its rich history, with free entry available when booked directly for groups. You will then transfer to a bowling evening with a meal, before returning by coach to your accommodation.

Dynamic Earth and home

Our Dynamic Earth and the journey home.

After breakfast you will pick up your packed lunch, check out and load the coach. You will transfer to Our Dynamic Earth, an interactive science centre exploring the Earth's past, present and future through immersive exhibits, before your return coach journey to school, enjoying your packed lunch en route.
