Travel to Washington

Fly to Washington and check in.

You will fly from the UK to Washington DC, where your guide will meet you at the airport for the coach transfer to your accommodation. After checking in you will enjoy a two-course restaurant evening meal.

Day 2

The National Mall

A memorials walking tour.

After an American buffet breakfast you will meet your guide for Washington's Memorials Walking Tour along the National Mall, taking in the Lincoln Memorial, the Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial, the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial and the Jefferson Memorial. Lunch is at your own arrangement nearby.

American history and a Georgetown walk.

In the afternoon you will visit the National Museum of American History, followed by a two-course evening meal and, after dinner, the Historic Ghosts of Georgetown Walk with your guide.

Day 3

Spies and the Capitol

The International Spy Museum.

After breakfast you will visit the International Spy Museum, with lunch at your own arrangement at a local cafe or food court.

Capitol Hill and Air and Space.

You will then head to Capitol Hill for a tour of the Capitol Building, subject to availability, followed by an afternoon at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum and a two-course evening meal.

Day 4

Free time and travel

Shopping, sightseeing and transfer.

After breakfast you will check out, with the hotel able to store luggage, and have free time for shopping and sightseeing, with lunch at your own arrangement. You will then meet your coach at the hotel and transfer to the airport for your return flight.

Day 5

The journey home

Arrive back in the UK.

Your overnight return flight will see you and your group arrive back in the UK the following morning, making your own way home from the airport.
