Paris

A Paris school trip gives your French group language immersion in a city they already half know from the textbook. Paris does a lot of the motivating for you.

A guided tour by coach and on foot takes in Les Invalides, the Champs-Élysées, the Arc de Triomphe, the Opéra Garnier and Notre-Dame. The Montparnasse Tower gives your students the whole city from above. The Beaugrenelle shopping centre is where the French gets used properly, and a Bateaux Mouches cruise on the Seine closes things off. Parc Astérix or Disneyland can take a full day if your group has earned it.

Structured lessons can be built in alongside the visits, or left out. You set how much of the trip runs in French. Paris works from Key Stage 3 upwards, and the trip flexes between language, art and culture depending on your department.

Arrival in Paris

Travel to Paris.

You will depart school and cross the Channel by Eurotunnel or ferry, arriving in Paris to check in to your hotel.

An evening meal.

You will enjoy a group dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 2

A guided tour of Paris

A guided tour of the landmarks.

With a local guide you will take a three-hour guided tour by coach and on foot, viewing Les Invalides, the Place de la Concorde, the Champs-Élysées, the Arc de Triomphe, the Opéra Garnier, Pont Neuf, Notre-Dame and the Tuileries (landmarks viewed from the outside).

The Montparnasse Tower.

You will then visit the Montparnasse Tower for panoramic views over Paris, with free time for lunch in the Montparnasse area.

Shopping and dinner.

You will continue to the Beaugrenelle Shopping Centre to practise your French, before a group buffet dinner at Monte Carlo Restaurant.

A theme park day

Parc Astérix or Disneyland.

You will spend a full day at Parc Astérix, or alternatively at Disneyland and Walt Disney Studios using your Hopper Pass, with a group dinner to follow.

A Seine cruise and home

A Bateaux Mouches cruise.

After checkout you will transfer to the Bateaux Mouches for a cruise on the Seine.

The journey home.

You will then depart for Calais and cross the Channel by Eurotunnel or ferry back to school.
