The London Mayor, Boris Johnson has announced that the London 2012 will have a new addition – a 115 metre tower called the London Orbit.
The tower, designed by Turner Prize winner Anish Kapoor, will cost £19 million and will be a “symbol of the dynamism of a city coming out of recession" according to Mayor Boris Johnson. The London Orbit Tower will be located within the Olympic Park, towering over the London 2012 Olympic Stadium, and will have a viewing platform along with a restaurant.
