Yosemite National Park

Glacial landforms at Yosemite.

You will visit Yosemite National Park to learn about the formation of its U-shaped valley, visiting Mirror Lake and studying the granite landforms of El Capitan and Sentinel Dome, before continuing for an overnight stay in Bakersfield.

Las Vegas

The bright lights of Las Vegas.

You will travel to Las Vegas to explore the bright lights of one of the USA's famous mega cities, taking a city tour to consider topics such as tourism and water resource management, before an overnight stay in Las Vegas.

Day 5

The Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon and the Rim Trail.

You will visit the Grand Canyon National Park, heading to the visitor centre and walking along the Rim Trail, considering how many years of erosion by the mighty Colorado River have carved this deep and wide gorge landscape, before continuing for an overnight stay in Kingman.

Los Angeles

The sights of Los Angeles.

In the morning you will transfer to Los Angeles, another of the USA's mega cities, taking a tour of the main sights including the Hollywood Hills, Rodeo Drive and the beaches and pier of Santa Monica.
