Shakespeare's New Place

Show all photos
Step into the gardens of Shakespeare’s New Place, the site of William Shakespeare’s final family home from 1597 until his death in 1616.
While the house itself no longer stands, students can explore a thoughtfully designed landscape featuring reconstructed garden layouts—including the sunken Knot Garden and Great Garden—sculptures inspired by Shakespeare’s works, and interpretive displays that trace the former house’s footprint and significance.
