Split into five amazing immersive zones – Cosmos, Engineering, Humans, Earth and Technology – students will see science brought to life with over 200 first-rate demonstrations and more than 140 thought-provoking talks from the most influential names in science, fuelling the imagination of every young scientist.
Students will be able to listen to talks from world-leading scientists, futurologists and thought leaders, inspiring the next generation. 2017 speakers included astronaut Tim Peake, physicist Helen Czerski, Cosmologist and physicist Sean Carroll and Chef Heston Blumenthal. 2017 speaker topics covered will range from the Higgs boson to sports science, to driverless cars, AI and so much more.
New Scientist Live is the world’s greatest science festival, bringing science to life with lots of interactive activities, thought-provoking talks, ground-breaking discoveries, hands-on scientific experiences, workshops and performances. Five amazing immersive zones cover the breadth of Science: Cosmos, Engineering, Humans, Earth and Technology. A fantastic line up of over 140 speakers and 120 exhibits creates an incredible energy that can’t fail to motivate even the most challenging of students!
Thursday 10th October will be New Scientist Live’s school focus day where teachers and students can take part in a programme tailored around the curriculum and dedicated to bringing science to life. The event is designed to engage and inspire the next generation, helping them?to understand that science is for everyone. It will ensure students understand that scientific developments taking place today have the power to change what it means to be human.
We have partnered with New Scientist Live to offer a cost-effective solution for schools from across the UK to attend this amazing science event. For schools not based in or near London, our package includes return coach transport from your school, 1 day entrance to New Scientist Live (extended durations available), pre-booked entry to the Science Museum or visit the Natural History Museum, 1 free staff place for every 10 paying students, chance to add-on other excursions including the London Eye, group evening meals, a West End show and other fantastic science related visits and excursions.
What’s more, you only need a minimum of 15 paying passengers to take your school to New Scientist Live, with a fixed price.
