A geography study trip to the Netherlands will offer a great opportunity for detailed study of water management and sustainability issues, topics which is increasingly important in the new Geography curriculum.
The Netherlands has a history of living and working with water and its unpredictable power. Approximately 30% of the Netherlands lies below sea level, so the Dutch have become real masters in knowing how to keep their feet dry!
Many Dutch people live on land protected by dykes or even on floating houses or house boats.
Visit the Netherlands and learn more about the problems they face and the policies and schemes in place to counteract them. The Netherlands is a convenient and good value option for your next Geography study trip.
