Peterhead Academy comment on their recent tour to London booked through Adaptable Travel.
That’s us back – exhausted from our trip to London. We had a fantastic time and everything went really really well – right down to the scorching weather! After a flight from Aberdean to London, the kids thought it was brilliant that a wee man was at the airport with a sign to meet us! In fact, all of the coach travel was prompt and comfy.
Upon arrival at our hotel, The Hilton Metropole, it was great and perfect for what we needed and right next to a tube station. It was a massive hotel and the pupils loved it. Staff were helpful and they were ready for our arrival. Rooms were also ready which was a huge bonus since we were tight for time.
We then ventured out to see the Mamma Mia show at the Prince of Wales Theatre. This was great and students loved the atmosphere. We are from a town in the North east of Scotland and a lot of these pupils had never seen anything like it. They loved every minute, and it shows educationally - there is life outside Peterhead!! Although I’m sure the cast member we met in the tube station and the girls accosted was glad to see the back of us!
This trip could not have been better. We have 24 exhausted but delighted girls plus 3 very relieved staff - it was just great. I had never organised such a tour before but Julie (Sales Administrator) and Sandra (Operations Administrator) made it incredibly easy. Every question I had was answered promptly - even the daft ones - and even when things got tricky with cancellations etc nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The trip went very well from start to finish. After this years success we hope to make this an annual event.
