Electrobroc

Set in the heart of the Swiss countryside near Geneva, Electrobroc offers an exciting and interactive introduction to the world of energy, sustainability and hydroelectric power. Located around 90 minutes from Geneva by coach, this unique experience takes place inside a working hydroelectric power station in the beautiful Gruyère region of Switzerland.
Electrobroc combines hands-on experiments, multimedia displays and guided demonstrations to help students understand how electricity is produced, distributed and used in everyday life.
Group Guided Tour
The main guided tour is designed for school groups and includes a full introduction to the world of energy and sustainability. Students explore a 1,200m² exhibition space inside the hydroelectric station, discovering topics such as renewable energy, electricity production, climate challenges and energy use in daily life.
Highlights include:
- A giant animated model showing 24 hours of electricity distribution
- Interactive experiments and demonstrations
- An operational hydroelectric power station
- The famous BlitzLab lightning simulator producing 250,000-volt demonstrations
- Films explaining the history of energy and local hydroelectric production
Tours are led by experienced guides who encourage discussion and questions throughout, making complex topics accessible and engaging for students of all ages.
