The DDR Museum offers an interactive journey into life in East Germany under the socialist regime. Through hands-on exhibits, reconstructed living spaces, and original artefacts, students can experience what everyday life was like behind the Berlin Wall. Highlights include sitting in a Trabant car, exploring a typical East German flat, and engaging with multimedia displays.
This visit provides students with a tangible and engaging way to learn about the realities of life under the GDR, helping them to understand themes such as surveillance, propaganda, and daily routines. The interactive format encourages curiosity and discussion, making complex historical topics more accessible.
