Olympic Stadium Guided Tour
In 1992, Barcelona hosted an Olympic Games that transformed the city, and the Olympic Stadium on Montjuïc was at the centre of it all.
On a guided tour of the Olympic Stadium students will see the Olympic cauldron designed by Ramón Bigas, the Old Marathon Gate, beneath the two equestrian sculptures known as 'Genets' (Horse riders).
Inside, the tour follows a corridor through the history of the stadium and up to the Olympic Ring Esplanade. From there, students can take in the Palau Sant Jordi building, the sculptures and fountains, and the green hillside around them.
Please note that the stadium often hosts major events so visitor access can be restricted. When that happens the guided visit takes place from outside.
