Museo Picasso

The Museo Picasso Malaga is a museum dedicated to the artistic genius of Malaga’s most famous international artist Pablo Picasso. It first opened its doors to the public in 2003 and is home to over 250 works of art, donated by relatives of Picasso. The museum allows students to experience some of Picasso’s lesser known and more intimate works and personal works that he left to members of his family after his death. Photographs amongst the archived photographic collections build a picture of Picasso’s personal life, workspaces and events that coincide with the growth and maturity of Picasso’s style. The entire collection encompasses works and examples from Picasso’s early years through his various artistic periods, until his later life and eventual death. This museum is a great opportunity for students to explore the life and works of one of the World’s greatest artists, in the town that shaped him as a person.
