Exploring The Royal Mews

Show all photos
The Royal Mews is one of the finest working stables in the world, providing a unique opportunity for students to explore the traditional and historical significance of State ceremonies and processions.
During the 75 minute session, children will take part in an interactive tour of the coaches and stables, handle objects and garments linked to the horses, carriages, and staff roles, and engage in role-playing activities through dressing up and using related props.
This experience offers insight into how the Royal Mews staff support the monarchy in their role as Head of State and how different carriages are used for important State events.
*Available on weekdays during British term time.
