Burg Eltz Castle is a remarkable medieval fortress set atop a rocky spur above the Elzbach River, within the scenic Moselle Valley — a UNESCO-listed region. Built in the 12th century and never destroyed, it remains owned by the Eltz family for over 850 years.

A 40 minute guided tour takes pupils through historic interiors, including the armoury, knights’ hall, chapel, kitchen, and traditional living quarters, as well as the famous treasure chamber.
