York Minster & Tower

Arguably York’s most famous landmark this stunning example of Gothic architecture does not disappoint. The focal point of the city the York Minster is one of the largest of its kind in Europe and hold significant ties to several periods throughout the city’s history. The site where the minster stands has a history of religious significance which stretches back over a thousand years which is reflected in the influences present around the building and site itself. Under the building itself students can explore the long history of the site and even a glimpse of the remains of former Roman walls.
