Wonderlab: The Bramall Gallery - at The National Railway Museum

During a visit to the National Railway Museum, your group can enter Wonderlab: The Bramall Gallery.
Students will engage with 18 hands‑on exhibits where they can explore science and engineering through practical, playful experiences: stepping into a human‑sized wind tunnel, launching a rocket, designing structures, sending motion through tubes in “The Great Machine”, and building rail‑inspired solutions.
Live Demo Shows such as Fire Powered - thrilling experiments and demonstrations designed to help children learn about fire and explosions, and Streamlined by Design - investigating the force of air resistance, how engineers have worked to overcome it, and how nature can sometimes inspire design, also run throughout the day during term times. Access to the live demonstration shows is an optional extra.
