Skógar Museum, located in southern Iceland near the renowned Skógafoss waterfall, offers pupils an immersive experience into the nation's cultural and technological heritage. The museum comprises three main sections:
- Folk Museum: Showcasing over 15,000 artifacts, this section provides insights into traditional Icelandic life, including fishing, agriculture, and domestic activities.
- Open Air Museum: Featuring restored historical buildings such as turf houses, a schoolhouse, and a church, pupils can explore authentic structures that depict Icelandic architectural evolution.
- Technical Museum: Highlighting the development of transport, communication, and technology in Iceland from the 19th century onwards.
