Royal Academy of Music Museum
Explore the history and development of music at the Royal Academy of Music Museum, located within the Academy’s historic Marylebone campus. The museum’s collections include historic musical instruments, manuscripts, scores, artworks, photographs and memorabilia, giving students the opportunity to see how music, musicians and instruments have developed over time.
Highlights include historic string instruments by Stradivari and the Amati family, as well as important keyboard instruments.

- Self-led - 60 minute time-slot
The experience is delivered through existing written and video displays.
- General Tour: 75-minute time-slot
Informational tour led by Academy students
- Performance Tour: 2-hour time-slot
An immersive experience led by Academy students and curatorial staff. Discover the history and context behind the instruments, explore their unique sounds and acoustic qualities, and enjoy short live performances by student musicians.
- Bespoke Tour
Featuring live instrument demonstrations. Content can be closely tailored to specific curricular requirements, such as a particular musical era, composer, or instrument development.
