Kensington Palace

Kensington Palace

Kensington Palace has been an iconic residence for the royal family since William III and Mary II chose the then “Nottingham House” as their country retreat in 1689. Playing a large role in Georgian and Stuart rule the palace has seen a number of monarchs pass through its doors, each improving and transforming the building until it became the palace we see today. Amongst its decorated list of residents were; Queen Victoria, Princess Louise, Diana Princess of Wales and Princess Margaret. Currently, this beautiful building and its grounds are home to TRH The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, their family and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Students will be able to witness a piece of Britain’s heritage and understand the history of the British Monarchy. Groups can explore the lavish King and Queen’s state apartments, the exquisite palace gardens amongst other galleries and rooms within the impressive buildings.
