Costa Brava Coastal Management

The Costa Brava coastline provides excellent case studies for comparing coastal management techniques and land use conflicts. The coastline has been very heavily used and degraded, so it needs to be managed to balance its use for tourism, local people, business and industry, whilst considering environmental issues. Visits can be arranged to various sights, for example, the erosion problems of Sitges beach, and the complex land use issue of the predominate residential area at Bodalona.
