Cologne Zoo

Bring learning to life with a visit to Cologne Zoo – one of Germany’s oldest and most respected zoological gardens.

 Founded in 1860, Cologne Zoo is home to over 10,000 animals across more than 800 species from around the world. Spread across beautifully landscaped grounds, the zoo offers immersive habitats such as the rainforest house, elephant park, and the impressive Hippodom – a recreation of an African river ecosystem. Students will enjoy close encounters with a diverse range of species while learning about animal behaviour, biodiversity, and conservation. Guided tours are available.
