Castle of the Moors is a 9th Century castle built in the hills surrounding Sintra. Originally built to guard the town, the castle is now a major tourist attraction, situated in the surrounding grounds of the nearby Pena palace. The Castle provides wonderful panoramic views over the hills of the Serra De Sintra and the plains stretching west to the Atlantic Ocean.
