Bruges Lace Centre and Museum

The unique interactive Kantcentrum (lace centre and connecting museum), is situated in Saint-Anna quarter, and is one of the best preserved secrets of the beautifully artistic city of Bruges.

Students will discover the fascinating traditional handicraft of lace, which originated in the 16th century, in the interactive and multimedia lace museum. The museum focuses on incredible early developments of lace and also the contemporary and the international appeal of lace.  After exploring the museum, your group will have the opportunity to visit the lace centre where experienced lace makers will lead a demonstration, and showcase a variety of techniques such as the Chantilly, Torchon, Lille side and more!
