Catherine Stephenson

Senior Educational Travel Consultant

Having enjoyed languages at school, Catherine studied a dual honours degree in German and European Studies at Keele University, Staffordshire. It was during this course that she spent 10 months living in the beautiful town of Luneburg in northern Germany. She absolutely loved the experience of living in another country and thinks it’s so important for students to learn about and experience different cultures. After finishing university, she saw the educational travel industry as a great opportunity to continue to use her German language skills and European knowledge to plan exciting trips and share her enthusiasm for travel with the teachers and students. She has now worked in this sector for 14 years.

Favourite Place Visited:

Berlin is my favourite European city. I am fascinated with the city’s turbulent 20th century history. The story of the city is remarkable and there are fantastic visits to bring the Second World War and Cold War history to life.  There’s also so much to see and do from a vast array of museums to famous landmarks and beautiful parks.
