Treptower Park Soviet War Memorial
Designed by the Soviet architect Yakov Belopolsky, this vast war memorial also serves as a burial ground for up to 5000 Soviet soldiers who fell in the Battle of Berlin in April-May 1945. The Soviet design allows students to experience communist style design on a vast scale, and is a great example of communist grand gestures.
