Founded in 1874 the Stedelijk Museum is Amsterdam’s premier centre for classic modern art, contemporary art and design in Amsterdam in the Netherlands and is housed on Museum Square next to the Van Gogh Museum. Highlights include paintings by Monet, Cezanne, Picasso, Matisse, Kirchner, Chagall and the Dutch De Stijil Group.
