Stasi Museum

Step into the former headquarters of East Germany’s Ministry for State Security—the “Stasi”—now the Stasi Museum. 

Students will explore the original offices of Erich Mielke, preserved just as they were during the GDR regime, and learn how surveillance and control were maintained through techniques like informant recruitment and hidden recording devices. The exhibitions span multiple levels, illuminating how the Stasi shaped daily life and how resistance took root.
