La Cite de la Mer (Cherbourg)
Cite de la Mer, translating to "City of the Sea" is a Maritime museum in Cherbourg Ferry Terminal, France. Opening in 2002, the museum contains permanent and temporary exhibits in its main hall, which takes you through French Maritime History. The museum also holds the first submarine of the French Navy, Le Redoutable. This submarine is the largest submarine that is open to the public.
