Espace Ballon
Chateau-d’Oex is the world’s leading destination for hot air balloons, being host to the annual Hot Air Balloon festival where the sky is dotted with dozens of imaginatively shaped hot air balloons. Add to this that Chateau-d’Oex was the starting point of the Breitling Orbiter globe circumnavigation attempt. This museum now plays host to genuine artefacts from those attempts and is a fantastic interactive museum to explore.
