Located in New York City Borough of Brooklyn, the Brooklyn Museum of Art was founded in 1895 and designed by Mckim, Mead and White. The museum holds New York’s second largest art collection comprised of a staggering 1.5 million works! The collections include a variety of international artworks and artefacts such as; Egyptian antiquities, African, Oceanic and Japanese art and American art which start at the colonial period. Some of the artists in the collection include Mark Rothko, Edward Hopper, Norman Rockwell, Winslow Homer and many more. The museum also has a “Memorial Sculpture Garden”, where many famous sculptures can be seen – one being a replica of the Statue of Liberty.
