Palo Alto Garage – Hewlett Packard birthplace

Palo Alto Garage – Hewlett Packard birthplace

This tiny shed-come-garage was the birthplace of HP upon where the company was born in 1939, when Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard rented it to become the original Silicon Valley startup. This tiny garage is considered to be a catalyst behind the development of Silicon Valley as we know it today, setting the region on a course of creation of world-changing technology companies. You can view the Palo Alto Garage as part of a Silicon Valley guided tour, and HP have purchased the garage and preserved it for future generations as a historic landmark.
