This will show you how to make last minute name changes with Easyjet and other airlines, specifically when a group calls the emergency phone.

Ryanair

Ideally they want name changes done via the groups department (who we email) however they are closed on evenings and weekends. Outside of the group dept working hours we have to speak to Ryanair at their contact centre. They are very busy, it may be impossible to get through to them! If you do manage to make the change, the group will need to download new boarding passes on the app (they will have been sent the login details for the app).

For small changes (1 or 2 letters) – the group may want to go to the airport and speak to the Ryanair staff. The very latest a change can be made is 2hrs before a flight, therefore we would advise them to get to the airport approx. 3hrs before the flight departs. They may still be charged the standard name change fee.

For whole passenger changes or entirely new first/surnames – as we cannot guarantee anyone will be available or willing to help a group with a name change at the airport, it may be best to purchase new airseats.

Icelandair

The groups team are only open Mon-Fri 9-5 and cannot help with any name changes outside of those times. They said a new airseat would need to be purchased.

British Airways

Deadline for name changes is 48hrs before (the fee is £120). After that point, a whole new seat has to be bought. They also won’t do any passenger changes at the airport.
