Euro Space Center - Astronaut class (2-5 days)
This immersive and unique programme can be tailored to suit your group, lasting between 2 and 5 days and covering themes including astronomy and engineering. Your aspiring space cadets will spend a number of days preparing for blast-off, taking part in a simulated astronaut training course, experiencing the facility’s immersive simulators such as the multi-axis chair and the anti-gravity Moon and Marswalk XPs. This training will help prepare them for their vital role in the simulated space mission on board a ground-breaking flight simulator, following genuine NASA procedures. During this simulation your students will experience every element of successful space flight from take-off and orbiting to re-entry and landing as well as an educational debriefing offering them insight into the various roles available, inspiring your budding cosmonauts whatever their passion from ground control or galactic explorers!
Other activities, workshops and presentations supervised by teachers seconded to Euro Space Society will take your students on a journey through the past, present and future of space travel. Offering insight into historic space missions and achievements, daily life in space and the technology and science which has allowed us to explore the cosmos.
