Florence Art & Design

Prices from: £269 (Based on 4 Days, 3 Nights)

Florence is a fantastic base for your next Art & Design study trip, with their stunning galleries and architecture it's no wonder more and more groups are visiting this beautiful city.

Once home to Cimabue and Giotto, the fathers of Italian painting, and throwing out artists and architects such as Arnolfo and Andrea Pisano, Brunelleschi, Donatello and Masaccio, forefathers of the Renaissance, Ghiberti and the Della Robbias, Filippo Lippi and Angelico; Botticelli, Paolo Uccello and the universal genius of Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo. Many of these artists works, with those of other generations, are gathered in several galleries and museums around the town.

The city is the jewel of the Italian Renaissance and is one of the worlds' great historical cities that will leave a lasting inspiration on all study tours for years to come.

We had a good experience in the trip as well as in the organization process. It will be better if we do it again next year because then we would be more prepared as to what is actually available for us and other options we could consider. Probably the most difficult part was having too much time for ourselves. We had two days out of the four in which us teachers had to be guides. It's doable, but challenging when we are not familiar with the environment. The guide the we also had was very kind, helpful, and informative. Unfortunately, even though our Chinese students could speak English, they were not proficient enough to completely understand what was being said due to the Italian accent. Most were simply not used to it.

Although the hotel was ideally located is was very, very basic, WIFI was only available in a very cramped small area in reception, no phone signals and very dated no TV etc.

Loads to do in Florence, great City, would consider a return but a higher class hotel.

The tour guide was excellent and really helped us getting orientated.
