Fly from the UK to northern Spain and transfer to your accommodation. Depending upon flight times you may have some free time to explore your local surroundings. If you do have free time, why not go via the fantastic medieval town of Santillana del Mar and delve straight into the local culture and history. Nearby is the amazing Altamira Caves, with prehistoric cave paintings on display. Then transfer to your hotel to check-in and enjoy an evening meal.
After breakfast, take a day trip to the medieval town of Santillana del Mar and delve straight into the local culture and history. After exploring the town, shops and alleyways, visit the amazing nearby (2km) Altamira Caves, with prehistoric cave paintings on display. Following your visit to the caves, travel to the coastal town of Comillas and beaches. Travel back to your accommodation for your evening meal.
After breakfast, today you will visit the amazing city of Santander for free time to explore the city. You will be able to visit the Magdalena Peninsula, the Royal Palace, the mini-zoo, the boats of Vital Alsar & the Palacio de la Magdalena. In the evening why not enjoy a traditional evening meal consisting of Tapas tasting session.
Today you will visit the Parque de Cabarceno, to explore the amazing settings of this nature park and the animals that live here. In the afternoon, visit Potes market to experience locally made food and produce. Transfer back to your hotel and enjoy a cookery class in your hotel, learning how to make traditional Spanish foods.
After breakfast, check out of accommodation. You may have some free time subject to flight times. If this is the case, we recommend visiting Bilbao or the interesting Vizcaya Bridge. Transfer to airport and return flight to the UK
