The Cantabria and Bilbao regions of northern Spain are fantastic options for Art and Design groups due to some superb art attractions available, not least the world famous and inspiring Guggenheim Bilbao.
The most famous art visit in the region is the world famous Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao. This amazing building has been hailed as the most important structure of its time, and houses some of the most prominent modern and contemporary works of art in the world. Works range from David Hockney to Andy Warhol. In addition to the Guggenheim, other local attractions add to the experience, including Bilbao Fine Art Museum, and local towns which house many fantastic galleries and art works such as Santander, the Royal Palace and Comillas. With transport options including coach, air and even a mini-cruise, the Cantabria and Bilbao regions should not be overlooked lightly as destinations for Art school trips.
