Amsterdam has fast become one of the most popular and desirable destinations for European travel, and there’s plenty of reasons why! The city’s iconic canals, picturesque streets and abundance of unique history makes Amsterdam the ultimate al fresco classroom.

As a school trip destination, the city is rich in art and culture boasting over 40 excellent museums and galleries, featuring every style you could think of, from the classics of legendary Dutch masters to sleek modern contemporary pieces. Educational school trips to Amsterdam provide students with unique opportunities to visit these world class museums and marvel at the works of Dutch artists like Rembrandt and Van Gogh and understand the global significance of their iconic works on the international art world.

Fondly known around the globe as the ‘Dutch Masters’ the works of Rembrandt, Van Gogh, VerMeer and other Dutch artists are showcased in the museums and galleries around the city, chronicling the Dutch Golden Age of Painting which rose to prominence in the 17th century. At the newly renovated Van Gogh Museum your students can learn even more about the professional and personal life of this great artist and immerse themselves fully in the artistic history of the city.

Combine the great art related visits with leisure activities in the parks, squares and canals of Amsterdam and you’ve got the ultimate school trip experience, seamlessly combining powerful learning with fantastic memories.

We were very happy with this trip. Adaptable were extremely efficient and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. In the lead up all my concerns were dealt with, within hours of my messages being sent. The itinerary was very well balanced between educational and fun and the transitions were smooth.

The students had a lovely time!

I have been with Adaptable before and will do again!

We had an amazing time in Amsterdam, it is a beautiful city and we packed a lot into the four days. I cant thank all the team at Adaptable Travel enough. The group loved all of the activities, our highlight was the trip to Efteling Theme Park and our walking tour with Marianne, she was great fun. Our accommodation was perfect, a very high standard of hotel/hostel.
