21st June 2012

As the London 2012 Olympics draw ever closer, the excitement today is spreading across the UK with the launch of the London 2012 Festival.

The festival is today launched with numerous events including an inflatable Stone Henge at Carmarthen, Wales, a huge fireworks display which will light up the Cumbrian skies at Lake Windermere, and 'The Peace One Day Global Truce Countdown' which is being launched by Jude Law.

With 25,000 artists from all 204 Olympic nations taking part, it is hoped the 2012 Olympic Festival will help to spread the Olympic spirit across the country in an attempt to make sure everyone gets involved in London 2012.

Adaptable Travel have for a long time forged ahead with the aim of ensuring all UK school and college students are inspired by London 2012, with our 2012 Sporting Legacy event.  The previous two events, held at Emirates Stadium have been sell out events.  The next 2012 Sporting Legacy event takes place in December, and offers your students the opportunity to hear from and meet British London 2012 competing athletes.
