A school in Slough has been awarded for its commitment to encouraging artistic pupils.

St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School was presented with the Artsmark Gold, the highest accolade given by Arts Council England, in recognition of its committment to arts education, reports the Slough & Langley Observer.

Headteacher Margaret Stacey said: "Our students really enjoy a rich and diverse curriculum that effectively supports their learning, and I’d like to thank all our staff for their hard work in achieving this award.”

What better way to encourage and inspire creative pupils than an educational trip? A school or college art trip to see some of the world's greatest works of art could inspire future generations of budding artists.
