Amsterdam has become synonymous with tolerance and liberalism, and presents itself as a sassy and cosmopolitan destination which makes it a popular choice for school trips.

With a warm and laidback atmosphere the city remains quintessentially Dutch and although it is one of the world’s smallest capital cities, it still has an abundance of world-famous museums and historical sights waiting to be explored on your next school trip. It is a city which manages to mix contemporary culture with a rich historical past which will surely enthral all.  From the thought-provoking Anne Frank Museum, to the Dutch Resistance Museum, from a canal cruise to the UNESCO Kinderdijk Windmills, Holland and Amsterdam truly has so much to offer.  Add in a price point for trips by Adaptable Travel that is accessible for almost all groups and demographic and flexible travel options, it is clear that Holland and Amsterdam should be near the top of your list for your next school trip.

Amsterdam was an ideal destination. We mostly travelled on foot and were amazed by the kindness and helpfulness of the Dutch people we met. The pupils were very impressed by the bicycles and canals! The art galleries were superb. Our hostel was comfortable and the food was delicious and healthy. All together the trip was a huge success and I would rate it above Florence, Paris or Amsterdam as an art, culture and fun destination for teenagers.
