The magnificent Venice Biennale offers your group the chance to experience one of the world’s most unique contemporary art experiences, held every two years. The next Venice Art Biennale takes place from June – November 2013.
This excellent International Art Exhibition takes place across two main sites The Giardini is the traditional location of the event, set in a beautiful garden area, it is home to around 30 permanent pavilion structures built by participating countries in order to show off the best artwork each individual country has to offer. The second location is The Arsenale. This recently renovated estate holds a high place in Venetian history as it was once the centre of Venice's naval power. Now however it provides a gorgeous backdrop for the Bienalle and is becoming more and more important to the event. It hosts a wide variety of different exhibitions including live performances and unique art presentations.

Traditional home of the Venice Bienalle. The event has been set in the grounds of The Giardini since 1895.
There are 30 pavilions in the Gardens, each pavilion is allocated to a particular nation and displays works of art by its nationals during the Venice Biennale.
This 50,000 square metre estate was once of great importance to the city of Venice. It was a major source of income and power for the city, and its shipyards and workshops produced one of the most powerful fleets in history.
The vast complex is now used as a stage for the Bienalle hosting a number of amazing pieces of art.
The Central Pavilion is open all year round to the public. The Central Pavilion features a great library and educational center that will allow visitors to learn more about the Bienalle and its history.
During the Venice Bienalle, the Central Pavilion hosts the main events and exhibitions.
The National Pavilions, as the name suggests, hosts the artwork and exhibitions from other countries around the world.
The pavilions are built by the country and provide a permanent space from which they can showcase work from their most talented artists during the Venice Bienalle. There are currently around 30 national pavilions however the number is continually rising as more nations wish to take part of this wonderful event.
The Teatro alle Tese was opened in 2000 as a versatile space to host music and theater exhibitions. It features a removable seating structure and an open space making it perfect for any performance.
Originally the warehouses where the sails were stretched in the 16th Century, the Tese Cinquecentesche is made up of four buildings connected by large arches.
Like the Teatro alle Tese, this venue was created and opened in 2000 to host Theatre exhibitions and live performances. It seats upto 328 and features an advanced stage-lighting system.
